Online booking has been in operation now for a couple of days and lots of people are already using this service. We have been alerted to a couple of technical issues which we are working on. One is the inclusion of a button or link to go back to the website; another is the incorrect placement of names in an available timeslot [intermittent problem].
We have also had several enquiries from people not receiving a confirmation email during the registration process. The confirmation email has been sent but has, in many cases, been sent to your Junk folder. If you open this message in your Junk folder (Show Content), you will be able to click on the link to confirm. There is a time delay built into the system - if you don't confirm within a day or so, you will need to start the registration process again.
- Click Register at the Competition Bookings webpage
- Enter details in all fields. Click submit. Keep your browser open
- Open your email program. Find the Registration confirmation message [check Junk].
- Open the message & click on the link to confirm. You are now ready to login.
- Happy online booking.

Following the AGM on Sunday, the following members have joined the Board of Directors. Bruce Morley is the Club Captain. Bruce Walker was re-elected for a 3 year term; Graham Fawcett was elected for a 3 year term; Mike Treby was elected for a 2 year term. The Board has appointed Terry Haines as the Vice Captain.

Barbara Solomon presents Imlay House Manager, Helen Ellwood, with a cheque for $1200.
The donations were raised from "3 putt" donations each monthly medal day during the 2011 golfing season.
The money raise would go towards the purchase of a low, low bed.

The 31st Sapphire Coast Week of Golf 2011 has begun at Pambula Merimbula Golf Club and will continue until the 23rd October. On opening day, there were 724 players registered from 124 clubs in United Kingdom, Western Australia, Queensland, Tasmania, South Australia, ACT, Victoria and New South Wales.

Our Exciting New Website

We've just launched Stage 1 of our new website. Our web team has been working for almost 15 months designing and developing the new site. In doing so we have endeavoured to incorporate all the features you like on the old site and some nifty new things as well. Great photography is key to this site.
We have carefully designed the site to be user-friendly, clear and clean in its look, with great functionality and incorporating the Club's crisp colour scheme. The design & web-engineering teams at Ionata Web Solutions [Hobart] have done a great job pulling all our ideas and requirements together.
The purpose of our new website is threefold:-
- To provide information for our members and visitors.
- To appeal to the broader community attracting new business and memberships.
- To attract visiting golfers and their families to the Merimbula area.
We wanted our website to stand out from other golf clubs - an attractive business and tourism site that specialises in golf. We think we have achieved just that - the site is so unique in the golfing website world.
Stage 2, which we hope will follow within 4-6 weeks will provide the link to our Club's servers which will enable the Online Timesheets we have been waiting so long for; as well as being able to update your personal details.
Stage 3 is still being planned - but we envisage that this stage will be a secure payment area for events and subscriptions.

Jill Brenchley has only recently returned to golf after foot surgery.
Jenny Fleming, a country member from Traralgon, began her golfing here at PMGC.
