Club Professional

 The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Glenn Warne as PMGC’s new Club Professional.

Glenn will take over the role from Noel Matthew when he retires at the end of April after almost 37 years as our Club Professional.

Joining the Club in 1984, Glenn went on to complete his traineeship in 1990 and has been working as a Professional, assisting Noel, at the Club since that time.

The entire Warne family have a close association with the Club - Mum and Dad, Nancy and John, wife Catriona and the boys Harrison 15, Lincoln 13 and Rory 10 and Glenn’s brother Darren, having all been members for many years.

For the golfer, Glenn’s current handicap is 1 with his best score around our course of 62, nine under the card.

I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of all members to wish him well in his new role.

On behalf of the Board I have much pleasure in announcing the appointment of Michelle Vernon as our Clubs’ new General Manager.

Michelle comes to us with an extensive background and qualifications in sports management and is currently a director of Golf Management Australia – NSW Division, an organization providing training and development for Golf Club Management across New South Wales.

Previously General Manager at Asquith Golf Club, Michelle’s experience also includes the GM’s role at Dunheved and Bexley Golf Clubs and prior to that Secretary Manager of Glenmore Country club. 

Some of Michelle’s many interests include, golf, hockey, cycling, walking, political and humanitarian issues, historic and classical literature, the piano and travel.

It is planned that Michelle will join us in the first week of March, please make her welcome.
