The team before the junior pennant semi-final against Bega with pennant managers Bruce and Jenny McLaren and professional Glenn Warne.
The team consisted of Lincoln and Harrison Warne, Ben Wakefield, Nick Ross and Lachlan Considine .
The boys lost 3-2 to the unbeaten Bega side after looking a great chance to win with a few holes to play. I would like to thank Bruce and Jenny for managing the juniors this year and we will be back bigger and stronger next year . Glenn Warne [team coach]
Junior Player Of The Month
NICK ROSS
This month's featured Junior is Nick Ross from Pambula Beach. Nick's handicap at the moment is 17. He regularly plays in the Men's Saturday competition with his dad, Brad. Nick says that his Dad has has the most influence on his golfing game so far. Nick's golfing aim is to see how low he can go - to a Scratch handicap or maybe even a Pro.

Nick is one of our Junior Pennant players who also played in the winning team last year. In that final, Nick had to play to the 20th hole before winning his match. He says that it was a little nervous for him, but a lot nervous for his Mum.
Last November, Nick travelled to Melbourne to go to the President's Cup. While he was there watching all his golfing heroes, he learned that having a pre-shot routine is very important. Nick managed to get lots of autographs while he was there - all the players on the Internationals team and a couple of the Americans.

Juniors with a golf handicap are eligible to play in the Male and Female competitions.
Monday Swingers [Primary School students + High School girls]
Professional, Glenn Warne, provides an Introductory Program from 3:30pm for both boys and girls. Monday afternoons are designed for students who wish to learn and practice the basics of golf. Cost is $25 per school term.
Wednesday Junior Development [High School students]
Head Professional, Noel Matthew, provides instruction in golf techniques working towards an introduction to Competition Golf. Both boys and girls of high school age are welcome to attend Wednesday afternoons from 3:30pm.
Become a Junior Member
School students attending school within the Bega Valley Shire may apply to become members.
